Single number readings were widespread, dipping to 8 degrees in Cavendish and Dorset in southern Vermont, 3 degrees in South Lincoln and Cornwall, 2 degrees in Northfield, and 1 in Rochester. The mountains were even colder, plummeting to –13 on Mt. Mansfield, and –17 on Mt. Washington, NH.
