Thermometers soared to a record 94 in Burlington, and 96 in Vernon and Hanover, NH. The 90s lasted three days, and remained in the 80s through the 22nd. Additional heat waves in July and August brought the greatest number of 90 degrees days for a summer to St. Johnsbury.
