On this date in 1927, while Vermonter’s were still very busy cleaning up from the tremendous flooding, the weather brought a very welcomed reprieve from the encroaching cold of winter. A spell of “Faux Summer” sent thermometers into the 60s, with a record warm morning in Burlington, starting the day at a summer-like 57 degrees, while the afternoon topped out at 67. St. Johnsbury recorded its warmest reading so late in the season at 69.
