Highlights of the Stifler Collection of Meteorites
from the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum
Along with a plethora of minerals and gems, the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum (MMGM) has one of the world’s largest and finest meteorite exhibits and the largest collection of meteorites from the Moon and Mars. Topics include AllSky7 cameras in Maine that the Museum uses to detect and track meteors, background information on meteorites, and highlights of meteorite exhibits at the Museum.
Questions are welcome, and attendees will get a chance to view and even hold some meteorites in person (please ask first!).
