One of the snowiest winters of the 20th century got a late but impressive start on this date in 1915. A general snowfall of 1 to 2 feet across New York and Vermont diminished to less than 6 inches east of the Green Mountains in the Connecticut Valley and New Hampshire. Burlington, VT measured 12.8 inches, and nearly 2 feet of snow fell in much of the Green Mountains south to the Berkshires.
