The remnants of Hurricane Beryl, enhanced by a slow-moving weather front extending from central NY east through central VT, focused 3 to 6 inches of rain in kess than 12 hours, with disatrous effects for numerous communities. Hardest-hit areas were centered near Hinesburg, VT, and eastward in Peacham, VT, with areas completely stranded as all roads were washed out. 7.42 inches of rain was measured in nearby Walden, VT.
